I got an amazing call from Molly Criner.  She had a couple of ideas on how to 
serve the community and she thought of reaching out to our group.  She also 
asked if there were other groups I could reach out to and I said absolutely, 
FUMC for sure.  Below are the two ideas:  

1.  Sack meals served at courthouse.  Courthouse employees have work but their 
load is down and Molly believes they can serve the community in this way.  They 
just need others to make the meals and they will set it up and serve them.  She 
already has an idea of how to effectively do the drive up and serve without 
causing too much interaction.  She also suggested that some may want to 
volunteer to pray with each car that drives up (of course  standing at an 
appropriate distance).

2.  Adopt an elderly person in community.  They could set up a sign up list at 
the courthouse for elderly who need help and then families could adopt one of 
them or two or whatever.  

Aren’t these amazing ideas!!?!!!  It’s an answer to prayer for our group 
because we have talked about providing food but a distribution point and man 
power were not made clear.  The county has the location and manpower.  They 
just need the food.
