Prayer Mailing List: Charge Conference

A Charge Conference will be held on Thursday Oct 22nd at 7:00 pm at
Mertzon UMC. Presiding clergy will be Elder Rev. Larry Young. Rev. Young
is the pastor for Barnhart Cowboy Church and Big Lake United Methodist
Church. He has been at Barnhart/Big Lake for 10 years.

I have all of the conference paper work and have tried to distribute it
into your boxes. Please look there for your part of the paper work.

I want to make sure that we understand that this is a charge conference
and not a church conference. Only the admin council will be voting.
This meeting is open, but only the admin council will have a vote or a say.
This is not a closed meeting, but any who attend will not have opportunity
to speak or vote.

As I had mentioned in the Ad council meeting, Rev. Larry Young will be the
presiding Elder at our charge conference. Steve Purdy will not be present.
We will be operating based on the ideas being presented by the Cabinet and
of Bishop Dorff to utilize the new sub-district clusters.
If you have questions, please let me know and I will try to help answer 
them.
