MidTexas Conference Chief Operating Officer, Rev. Ryan Barnett, joins Rev. Frank Oakman in Kerrville, TX, for a disaster relief update.
FIRST METHODIST SAN ANGELO:
SERVING HERE AND THERE
First San Angelo C.A.R.E Team
The First Methodist San Angelo C.A.R.E. team delivered over 90 checks to families totaling $67,500 on Friday, July 25, thanks to the generosity of the Global Methodist Church and First Methodist San Angelo. (C.A.R.E. stands for Contact, Ask how they are doing, Respond, and End with prayer.)
In total, First Methodist San Angelo has given over $86,000 to 112 families and individuals affected by the flood over the last two Fridays!
Costa Rica Mission Team
A mission team from First Methodist San Angelo is in Costa Rica this week working on the Iglesia Evangelica Methodista Manantial de Amor building. The team has welded, primed & painted beams, poured concrete, and hosted a VBS/chicken fajita cookout for children and families attended by over 60 people! Kevin Porche, First Methodist San Angelo Mission Coordinator, led the mission team to Costa Rica despite dealing with flooding in his own home in San Angelo.

The MidTexas Conference exists to energize and equip the local church and connect pastors and churches for kingdom success. As such, we are directing disaster relief funds to the churches who are at the epicenter of the recent floods. Pastors have been empowered to provide direct relief to those impacted by the floods, support first responders, and supply provisions for volunteer teams assisting in recovery work.
