Prayer Mailing List: Operation Christmas Child

Time is fast approaching for Operation Christmas Child.  We will deliver our 
boxes to the local shipping point between November 14 and 21, 2022.  So, that 
is just around the corner.
Our goal is at least 20 boxes this year.  We donated 14 last year.  We have a 
need for either shoe boxes from your closet, or you can purchase them at Hobby 
Lobby.  Either way will be great.  Please bring them to the Mertzon Methodist 
church fellowship hall before November 14.  We will have a packing party on 
November 14th, 15th or 16th.
Each box needs to be filled with gifts for children anywhere in the world.  You 
can find printed lists on a table in the fellowship hall of the church, or you 
can go online and get a printable list at:

We have some small soft toys, some crayon pencils and a few other items already 
gathered.  However, it is not enough to fill 20 boxes. 
Please as you go about your shopping pick up some small things that any child 
would like.  Socks, small trucks or dolls, coloring books, small balls, story 
books, tooth brushes, combs and brushes.  We need items for kids ranging from 
age 4-10.  Remember, everything needs to fit into a shoe box.
Money is tight here, but it is tight everywhere.  Please find it in your heart 
to bless these 20 children.  If we have more boxes that will just be a larger 
blessing.  In order for the box to reach its destination, they request we place 
$10 with each box to make sure it reaches it's destination by Christmas.  While 
this additional donation is not mandatory, it is helpful to aid Samaritans 
Purse to complete delivery of our gift timely.
