From Molly Criner Today, Oct. 29, 1:30 p.m., Courthouse - Meet the candidate! As a result of the 2020 Census, Texas has put Irion County into a new state senate district, # 31. We were in Senate District # 28, and Charles Perry was our state senator. We will now have to elect a new senator for this district. Our first opportunity to meet one of the candidates, Kevin Sparks, will be today at 1:30 at the courthouse. It’s your chance to find out if he’s the man to represent us in Austin.
