Subject: The Emmaus Ministries Wishing you a blessed Christmas

My dear sisters and brothers in Christ,

I greet you in the precious name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

We come to the end of what we might term an unprecedented year, one that many around the world would have wished never existed.

As I write, I am reminded of Job who, in the middle of his "hell", cursed the very day of his birth. He wished that he had never been around to experience what he was now faced with.

This year, many realities have radically changed, many dreams have been dashed, and no specific nation or group of persons has been spared. We all found ourselves in the same boat.

As we come to the end of 2020, to a certain extent, we are still in the "woods" but, if there is one lesson we can gather from the book of Job, that would be that God's multifaceted love for God's people remains intact..

Friends, as God's people, may we hold on to this assurance and, through our love, may we be bearers of this message to those around us.

As staff of the Emmaus Ministries office, Lilia Ramirez, Hess Hall and I pray for you, and all those around you, a blessed Christmas.

As we continue our journey together, may we allow God to pleasantly surprise us in 2021.

Much grace and peace to each and everyone of you from us all.
