Good Afternoon Everyone,

I am forwarding the census update to you from the Rep, Misti Hauger. If you review the info below, you will notice that Irion’s percentage has come up a little…from 15.6% to 16.6%.

Just a reminder to try and complete your census. I understand that with all the confusion and uncertainty related to the Coronavirus, the census is probably the last thing on your mind. However, do your best to try and complete it. You may call toll-free 1-800-354-7271.

Thank you.

God bless you and keep you safe.

About the 2020 Census:

The U.S. Constitution mandates that a census of the population be conducted once every 10 years. Census data helps determine the number of seats each state holds in Congress and how billions of dollars in funding are distributed to states and local communities every year for services and infrastructure, including health care, jobs, schools, roads and bridges.

Where does your community stand?

You can keep an eye on the 2020 Census Response Rate map. The 2020 Census response rate map will be updated daily around 3 p.m. for everyone to see the response rate in their area and compare it to other areas across the nation, if you want to check daily, or share it. It shows how cities and towns across the country are now responding. You can narrow it by state, city, county, etc. Here is a great video to help you see how to check out how your area ranks within the US! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQRRqq4plXg
