Good Evening Everyone,

WHERE DOES YOUR COMMUNITY STAND?

Don’t forget to keep an eye on the 2020 Census Response Rate map. The 2020 Census response rate map shows how cities and towns across the country are now responding. You can narrow it by state, city, county, etc. The map will be updated daily around 3 p.m. for everyone to see the response rate in their area and compare it to other areas across the nation, if you want to check daily, or share it.

Let’s all try and get Irion County at a 100%. It matters for us all: helps with unemployment (informs how much in employment funds are needed and also metrics for state workforce agencies); school monies for our children; impacts communities for the next 10 years, informing how billions of dollars in public funds are spent each year; Pell Grants for college tuition and higher education grants and loans for college students are determined by census data; college and scholarships, government representation, road repairs, locating skilled workers, where to hire new employees, and establish vocational rehabilitation and job services for people with disabilities. Census 2020 can make a difference in our communities.

Thank you for helping to make a difference.

Blessings,

Charlotte, Wesley Nurse
