SENDING:

As most people know, Pastor Bun Jackson, FUMC Mertzon, has received a new 
appointment to Brady UMC and her last Sunday will be June 
24.<x-apple-data-detectors://1> FUMC Mertzon will be hosting a Sending 
Reception in her honor on Thursday June 21 at 
6:30PM<x-apple-data-detectors://2> in the Fellowship Hall of the church. ALL 
church and community members are invited to come by and wish her well on her 
new journey. We have placed a “BLESSING BOX” inside the front door where cards, 
letters and well wishes can be dropped off prior to or on the evening of the 
event. Her impact on our church and community has been far reaching and she 
will be greatly missed. Please join us in sending her on with our heartfelt 
gratitude and appreciation.

RECEIVING:

The West District Superintendent, Andy Smith met with the SPRC meeting on 
Sunday March 25 to introduce the new pastor appointed to FUMC Mertzon. We look 
forward to welcoming Pastor Mark to our congregation and community.

Pastor Mark’s first Sunday will be July 1, 2018<x-apple-data-detectors://5>. 
The congregation and community are enthusiastically invited to join us at FUMC 
on that date in worship or drop by following your worship service to extend a 
personal welcome at a fellowship reception. ALL are welcome!
